Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  I Mistie House, am the author and illustrator of my debut children's book The Father's Princess. I am also an artist and painter and have sold paintings worldwide.
I enjoy spending time laughing with family and friends, visiting new places with my husband, camping, creating beautiful art and décor in my home, and having quiet time with the Lord. I live in Texas with my amazing husband and have two precious daughters, my little buttercups.

What was your motivation behind this project?  My motivation for creating this book was to share my personal story and testimony of how God has transformed my life, and to convey how He can do the same for others.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  My hope is that this book will help readers to see themselves as God's children that He loves dearly, and encourage them to deepen their relationship with their Heavenly Father.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  Creating this project impacted my life personally by spending an incredible amount of time leaning on The Father's direction and guidance throughout every aspect of this journey, from writing the story to illustrating the pages to publishing and marketing. Illustrating each page was especially impactful. As each page began to come to life I began to picture myself in Daisy's place and see myself as His precious daughter, His child. It was very special, and it is what I hope readers will come to experience as well. Also, the interactions with family and friends that I opened up to during the making of this project and looked to for prayer and support greatly impacted me.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  Some of my favorite authors and artists include Lysa Terkeurst, Sarah Young, Lisa Bevere, Hillsong United, Lauren Daigle, Kari Jobe, Bethel Music, and Jesus Culture.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  The overall message of the book is that "You...Are...Loved!" I want readers to see themselves as God's Children, to discover that they are Never Alone, and to know how much They Are Loved by their Father in Heaven.
