Product Description

Just like the elder brother in the parable of the prodigal son, often we feel like our best is not good enough for the Father's love. John Sheasby struggled for years with that feeling...until he dug deep into the truth of the story. That new understanding of the gift of the father's inheritance changed his life as this book will change yours.

Publisher's Description

This life-changing look at the parable of the father with two sons, one a prodigal, the other faithful but bitter, will change your understanding of that story forever and your relationship with the Father who loves you and welcomes you home, especially if you have struggled with believing you could ever deserve His love. John Sheasby had to overcome a lifetime of shame and doubt because he believed his best would never be good enough for God. God finally broke through, and Sheasby realized he had always had a room in the Father’s house and a seat at the table. God was just waiting for him to sit down.

When you see this short book in the store, dont mistake it for having nothing to impart to your heart. As you look at the cover perhaps think of what you can glean from a man who has been a servant and now understands what it means to be a son. In order to understand the previous statement, reading the book will clarify this. In case you need a tidbit in order to read it, understand that it is for all who long for a closer intimate walk with the Lord.

The author is originally from a different nation, but that doesnt matter as the human heart is very much identical regardless. The heart yearns and cries out for God to save, to love, to speak and so much more! Like others who experienced a legalistic background the author helps us understand freedom in Christ as he shares very transparently the journey the Lord took him on.

After each chapter there is a prayer to help facilitate talking with the Lord about what you gleaned from the chapter. Feel free to adapt the prayer to where your heart is and the cry of your soul. It only takes a short time to enjoy reading At Home in the Fathers House, but I guarantee you wont soon forget what is written on the pages.

After youre finished with the book, consider buying one for a friend or family member that you know would really be impacted by the message. I have it on my shelf in my family library for my sons to read or a friend to borrow. What about you?
