sunshinesameAge: Over 65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5A must have for every home.May 18, 2016sunshinesameAge: Over 65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5After reading this book it literally overnight changed my life. Like other readers, I could not put this book down. Sadly no men have yet left feedback. I bought a large quantity of this book to give to others. It has changed some of those lives as well. I have no idea how many lives have been joyously changed through these books as I give them anonymously, but did hand it to a male friend and he also was healed of many wounds after reading it. How wonderful to read in ordinary language, and identify with the sad cruelty and ignorance most us knew was abnormal but we were unfortunately on a very personal level living with our suffering and in isolating want for many years.
It would be difficult to imagine this book would not help Jesus change your life as well, if only you would allow Him to.
Sue5 Stars Out Of 5The Father You've Always Wanted: How God Heals Your Father WondsDecember 29, 2014SueQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Started this book and couldn't put it down until I finished it. I know my Dad did the best he knew how but he had a Dad who was wounded too. I work with children and adults and see and hear the results in the lives of those with Dad's that are not there emotionally and/or physically. I highly suggest this so we can begin healing the generations that follow us. Now my husband and I are reading it together. I really appreciate that the author has the price at $.99, at this price how can we not pass them around??
May the healing hand of our Father begin in your life if you choose to read this.

Even with a father in the house, this book was helpful with some feelings that I have that has never been resolved. It also helps me to look deeper within myself and to lean on Jesus. Originally I purchased this book for someone whom I believed this would help and found out that I needed this book just as much.

CraneSeal Beach, CAAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Good groundwork in identifying the "approval" addiction. It stems from equating Love with Approval and visa versa. It also identifies it as a root of anger and frustration in dealing with others, especially family members and in child rearing. Part of the "perfection" syndrome as it affects men especially. McGlasson also reveals how it affects men who grew up under this type of covering in their parenting. He does direct the reader to God for answers and in having a relationship with Jesus Christ as the only healer of this negative root wound which is what I liked most. However, I found it a bit empty in actual steps of healing. While it identifies clearly the issues, other than a prayer at the end of a chapter, there are no illustrations of the recovery process which might be helpful to someone needing to walk out being healed of the father wound. Although it is true, through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving it is the Holy Spirit that leads, guides, directs and teaches the individual towards the will of the Father for their own life. Perhaps it was left out as to not confine the reader to particular steps, other than accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior and prayer.
