Can you imagine walking into a pump house to check the pump and finding diagrams and supplies for making bombs? Going a step further, the pump house is on your aunt's property and you are certain that she knows nothing about what is being hidden there. She is the dearest, sweetest woman anyone would ever want to meet and would never hurt another person. The only obvious answer is that the person who rents the hired hand's house is responsible. What are you going to do when you hear him coming down the driveway and the only way out is in plain view of the driveway? Tara finds herself in quite a predicament. What she has just found indicates that the person who drew the diagrams and stashed all the supplies is clearly the Lone Wolf bomber. What in the world is she going to do? Jump into the story and relish the constant suspense. Enjoy following along as the FBI works the case to find Tara and attempt to keep her safe while seeking to stop the Lone Wolf bomber. Both Tara and the lead agent have Christian backgrounds but they have so much to learn about allowing God to direct their actions and decisions. Is everything perfect when they seek to yield control? This story shares the message that giving God control does not immediately remove every obstacle and solve every problem. The lesson is reinforced that things may get worse before they get better. Our goal is to let God lead even when we don't know how things will end. I received a copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.

When Tara Parrish barely survives an attack from the Lone Wolf bomber, she decides the only person she can count on to keep her safe is herself. She runs, knowing that if the bomber finds her, he'll finish what he started.

Agent Cal Riggins has spent months trying to catch the Lone Wolf to stop him from taking any more lives. He knows Tara can help him, and he finally tracks her down. Now he has three problems: convincing Tara to come back and help, keeping her safe, and fighting off the growing attraction and admiration he feels for her so he can successfully do both of those things.

This novel had me glued from page one. Tension on every page. It's a romantic suspense, and holds solid on both fronts.

I think my favorite thing about his story is that, being a terrorist bomber, it could have been very generalized. Sleeman avoided that by making the stakes super-personal and adding a psychological twist, as well as a running theme of not trusting God when it seems like He's not there.

All-in-all, this is a great read.

This is the first book I've read by Susan Sleeman. I discovered her and this fantastic book on a Scavenger Hunt. It caught my attention and I called a local bookstore. They had it in stock & I bought it the next day. The plot pulled me in on the first couple of pages and the tension and suspense kept me turning the pages. Before I read more than a few chapters I called the bookstore and ordered Kill Shot. I was so fortunate, they had an order going out that day. I was able to pick it up by the end of the week. Both books are filled with suspense. Fatal Mistake has a bomber that is after our heroine because she's the only witness to ever survive an attack by the Lone Wolf. Cal is the FBI agent trying to capture the Lone Wolf.

Susan Sleeman immediately went on my Favorite Authors list before I finished this book. When a book touches my emotions, captures my attention and doesn't let go or just a page turner then its automatic 5 star rating for me. No one asked me to buy the book, leave reviews and all opinions are my own. Fantastic author and both books are fast paced, well developed characters and I truly enjoyed both books. Highly recommend this author if you like a good Christian romantic suspense with the emphasis on suspense..
