The Applesauce War by Ellen Edwards Kennedy
By the title, one might deduce this enjoyable story involves the elements of apples and feuding, which might be a right deduction. Of course, then again, it might not. One would have to read the story of two families who let a matter get out of hand when it shouldn't. The faith shared by two childhood friends helps Verity believe that true love with Pete may yet become her reality.
Sunshine Harvest by Debby Mayne
Josephine and Anna open the front door to hear the most unexpected news. Now, their lives are irrevocably changed. Daniel is a businessman and part-time pastor who not only brings devastating news, but also shows himself to be a living example of Christ's love. What will be the future of the mother and daughter along with the fruit groves that are their livelihood?
New Beginnings by DiAnn Mills
Two childhood friends dream one day of becoming man and wife or at least one does till the later teenage years. Now, the day of the wedding is here and no matter how much praying is being done feelings of love just aren't there. After the thousand mile journey to Ohio to set up a farmhouse and making it a home, the wonder of what lies ahead becomes even more fearful. Will the marriage between Nicholas and Betsy remain or will they part, going their separate ways?
Each of these stories was unique and filled with adventure, hope and believing in God. The story settings and time frames were not all the same. The one thread all of them shared was believing in God. Now, in order to believe in God the characters had to do something else, and that was realize that without God they couldn't do anything in and of themselves. What a truth to be reminded of regardless of the situation we find ourselves in. Enjoy this collection of six special tales that will touch your heart and keep you turning pages late into the night!

These lovely 6 stories will take you on a Journey around America's farmlands hundreds of years back...from cracking up with laughter to crying for character's trials this collection is like a perfect salad that excites all your taste buds..
One Little Prayer
Is about a girl full of romantic notion who wanted to have a daddy for herself and was inventing ways (inspired from novels..lol) to convince her mother, Tessa, and a perfect, albite injured, stranger,James, to court.. Ohh but I laughed so hard at her adorable antics.
The Tie That Binds
Is about a young widow Emma and a lonely bachelor Frank that both wanted the same thing but were both stubborn as bulls. Again God turned to children to bind them together and what a beautiful family they made. Its was funny worrisome and very heartwarming story.
A Homesteader, A Bride, and A Baby
Only God could bring such a sweet ending to the 3 strangers who have only one thing in common and its a tragic loss of beloved young family. Chase's and Loretta's love was very tender and with many hardships..
The Applesauce War
Ohhh man this is a story of two best friends who arranged for their children to be married but decided it wasn't romantic to just break the news to them so they came to a conclusion that playing a little charade of feud and letting the (rebellious) nature take its course will work best to make their children fall for each other...poor Varity and Pete, Ohh my but it was fun...
Sunshine Harvest is another dear story about a girl Anna that lost her daddy and was left to take care of plantation and helpless indecisive mother, but God with all his love for his children sent help from all directions and for all needs...even a life partner-Pastor Hopkins.
There is one thing that fascinates me about life long best friends between boy and a girl relationship... The girl is blind to her love for the man until he is ready to give up and throw her out of his life.. I have great respect for guys like Nicolas whose love is so deep and whose sacrifice is so great that it reminds me of Jesus and all He sacrificed out of love for us - to make us happy..
Enjoy this Collection, its an easy read that will sail you through waves of emotions and while you laugh or cry or both they will teach You some unique ways in which God works.
