BodunrinPort HarcourtAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Falling For YouAugust 27, 2019BodunrinPort HarcourtAge: 35-44Gender: femaleThis is Willow and Corbin's story. It is a second chance story. Willow is a model, had dated Corbin, a football player some years ago, she had been physical with him in that relationship. When the relationship broke, her pain was two-fold, the hurt of the breakage, and the guilt of having slept with him.
Willow had to walk through forgiving herself and letting go of the bitterness against Corbin.
Corbin, Corbin hmmm!. As at the time they met again, Corbin was no longer playing football due to an injury, he had become a Christian, and was taking care of his father who had a terminal illness. There are some things I liked and some I didn't like about Corbin, however, one thing which really endeared him to me was the love he had for his father, the sacrifices he made for him. I liked his unrelenting effort to seek a cure for him. I liked his baby and unsteady steps and attempts towards converting his father to become a believer before it was too late, which left him exasperated and unsure. And I loved that he didn't flaunt his service and care of his father as a flag to garner good points for himself.
Ms Becky Wade is one of my favourite authors, she has a way of creating a wonderful family relationship in her books. The Bradford sisters had such a good camaraderie which I envied.
You would love "Falling For You" and won't want it to end.
I wasn't required to write a good recommendation for this, they are my personal opinion and thoughts. -
Emily5 Stars Out Of 5Romantic and touchingJune 5, 2019EmilyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Falling for You.I read this first in the Bradford Sister Romance series, though it's the second book, and got hooked on the series--went back and read book 1, then eagerly waited for book 3 to release. I related with Willow's struggles with perfectionism and enjoyed the romance. Not only "would" I recommend this to a friend, I have. I got my mother-in-law and friend both hooked on the series.

Karen KlepsteenSouth DakotaAge: 35-44Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Forgiveness, a second chance at love, and a mystery too!September 28, 2018Karen KlepsteenSouth DakotaAge: 35-44Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Falling for You.I absolutely loved True to You and couldn't wait to read Willow and Corbin's story in Falling for You! I couldn't help but get excited by the prospect of a good mystery when Corbin's niece, Charlotte, asked both him and Willow to help her solve the case of a missing family member. As they're repeatedly thrown together during the investigation, Corbin and Willow had a lot of emotional baggage to unpack and peace to be made between them. I really appreciated how they were able to work through their past mistakes while building a better, stronger foundation for their relationship. I could really relate to Willow's struggle with forgiving herself for her past mistakes, and I feel like it's something that we all struggle with at times. It's such an important part of our growth as Christians, and I love the way that Becky Wade wove it into such a beautiful love story!
Now I'm eagerly awaiting Britt's story next in Sweet on You! I received a copy of this book from Bethany House through NetGalley and am under no obligation to post a positive review. All opinions are my own. -
rkfall4 Stars Out Of 5Falling for YouSeptember 27, 2018rkfallThis review was written for Falling for You.This book is a book that you can follow the creation, fall, redemption, and restoration process throughout. Her characters have definitely not "arrived" and as I was reading along there were times until I understood where she was going, that I was trying to figure out where she might be going with their stories. She had a mystery included that begged to be solved. That was a great addition to an otherwise complete story that I think just added another element to her book. With all that, you could say that this author went above and beyond on this one.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. -
Just Commonly5 Stars Out Of 5Be still my heart!August 17, 2018Just CommonlyThis review was written for Falling for You.". . . people would rather think of themselves as good than face their mistakes." (356)
Be still my heart, and fall in love with Falling for You by Becky Wade. As the second full novel of the Bradford Sisters Romance series, Falling for You is romance of love between characters, but also for those readers with an affinity for a story with depth and substance.
The sisterly bond between the Bradford sisters comes to life and reminds me of my own sisters. There're bound to be bumps on the road, but in the end, the love, support and blessings shines beyond words. Family dynamics is a true highlight in Becky Wade's stories, and in Falling for You, we not only get to know the Bradfords, but also participate in a mystery from Corbin's family. Through solving the mystery, our main characters are reminded of past hurts while trying to forge ahead on forgiveness and trust, and just maybe a future together.
"Give Him time . . . The more you get to know Him, the more trustworthy He'll prove himself to be." (197)
A story of love, but also of truth and trusting God through the bad and the good, Falling for You connects readers with humor and honesty. Multi-faceted in so many ways! I can't say enough how I just fell in love with this story, the family, and of course the writing. There's so much you can walk away with - entertainment, a message of hope and some eye candy in that cover! Don't miss this series!
"God has been giving you enough strength to get through each day. He's steadying you . . . This God of his was a God who was determined to set broken things right." (346 - 347)
Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher. I was not required to write a positive review, and have not been compensated for this. This is my honest opinion.
