Publisher's Description

"Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ . . ." So goes Paul’s typical self-introduction, an unassuming title for Christianity’s most influential figure apart from Christ Himself. Now, for the first time, experience Paul’s world-changing writings in the full context of his life story—from Pharisee and persecutor of the church, to broken and humbled convert, to the apostle of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

From pastor and teacher Dr. John MacArthur, One Faithful Life is the first-of-its-kind harmony of Paul’s message and life, weaving together Paul’s letters, the book of Acts, and important background information from the Gospels into a seamless, chronological narrative.

Features include:

  • Verse-by-verse explanations and section introductions from one of the most respected pastor-teachers of our time
  • New King James Version of the Scripture text
  • A comprehensive reading plan

Editorial Reviews

'I am deeply grateful to John MacArthur for assembling One Faithful Life. What a wonderful, biblically faithful resource for a thorough, firsthand study of the life and letters of Paul!' -- Andreas J. Köstenberger, PhD Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

'One Faithful Life is a wonderful synthesis of the unfolding gospel plan for the New Testament church through the preparation, missions, and ministry of the apostle Paul. The wise arrangement of materials makes the ways that Paul's ministry and message intersect very plain and provides insights that will enhance the preaching of both. The long, faithful ministry of John MacArthur well qualifies him to help fellow preachers proclaim key insights from One Faithful Life lived for Christ Jesus.' -- Bryan Chapell, PhD Pastor, Grace Presbyterian Church (PCA) President Emeritus, Covenant Theological Seminary

'This book recognizes that the most significant impact of the apostle Paul's life lies in the Scriptures he wrote. This is a valuable resource for all serious students of Scripture wishing to deepen Bible knowledge, progress in theological understanding, and benefit from the hermeneutical wisdom of a seasoned and celebrated pastoral thinker and leader.' -- Robert W. Yarbrough, PhD Covenant Theological Seminary
