Keep Your Eyes On Me: Forty Days of Training Your Heart To Trust Him

Learning to keep your eyes on Jesus is not easy. When circumstances get difficult, we naturally want to focus on the problem, turning it over and over in our minds until we arrive at some sort of solution. The Lord is inviting us to set our eyes on Him regardless of the circumstances. And as we focus on Him, He brings resolution. That resolution may simply be peace in the middle of the difficulty, but peace with Him gives us the ability to navigate even the most challenging circumstances. Forty days is long enough to establish a new pattern in our thinking, but to get truly comfortable living in the ambiguity of unresolved problems or threatening circumstances takes purposeful effort in keeping our eyes heavenward over a long period of time. Jesus is eager to teach us how to navigate life with our eyes on Him. And then, trust in the One who is leading us grows with each passing day.
