Oh my! I've been a fan of Collins' books but I felt like this one went up a new level into sophistication and depth. The ending truly is an exciting twist. Not anticipated at all. She just keeps getting better and better.

When I recently received a package from Zondervan and was greeted by a book cover picturing a woman in shadow being photographed, silhouetted against a lighter background, I did not know what to expect. Yet, drawn irresistibly to the cover photo, I began reading this fictional suspense thriller in the evenings, turning pages late into the night. Little did I know I was being introduced to the Seatbelt Suspense author, Brandilyn Collins. This newest release, titled Exposure, features newspaper columnist Kaycee Raye. Kaycee has led a life filled with an unknown dread. She has worked hard to battle her own fears, combating them with rational thought and prayer, through writing her newspaper column--and with ritual behaviors including closing all her window blinds and curtains at night to keep anyone from watching her. Emotionally supported by a few good friends in the small college town she's settled in and enjoying writing her syndicated column, Kaycee seems to have overcome her fears.Yet somehow, when her best friend dies, her fears escalate--and strange things happen in and around her home. Someone seems to be coming into her house when she is not there, leaving items--which then mysteriously disappear. Through short, page-turning chapters, master storyteller Collins weaves a well-conceived set of story lines, keeping the reader wondering along with Kaycee, Could she be going mad? Is she hallucinating? Or does some unknown person or persons really exist, and are she--and those she loves--really in danger? You will not be able to put this book down, until you, along with Kaycee, discover the answers--which may be more frightening than the fears alone!

I relate, in a way, to Kaycee. Im afraid of the dark. Well, not the dark exactly, all the things darkness can hide.Brandilyn Collins has written a story that forces her characters to face their phobias. Apprehension grips the reader as Kaycee tries to find out who is behind the mysterious messages and how they were able to get in through locked doors.Exposure will have you reading as quickly as you can to find the truth. And what happened to Martin Giordanos family? Mystery, gripping, compelling flows from chapter to chapter demanding answers. Suspense keeps you reading, with a determination to discover the facts as you watch Officer Mark Burnett put aside his preconceived assumptions to solve two cases. Are they related?Ms. Collins work is a must read. She encourages us to remember that God is always there, quietly waiting. He is the answer to all things. Thank you, Brandilyn Collins for challenging us to step out and trust God even in the midst of fear. ExposureBy: Brandilyn CollinsZondervanISBN 978-0-310-27643-2$14.99

I have read all of Brandilyn's books, and I have to say, Exposure had me guessing until the very end. Kaycee Raye's phobias are very real, and they are ones any human can face on any given day. I couldn't put it down! A definite page turner, with surprising twists. As a personal friend of Brandilyn, it would be easy just to recommend her books. But as an avid reader, I applaud both her character's quirks and mannerisms. Kudos to Brandilyn!

Brandilyn Collins writes "Seatbelt Suspense," guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat. With her latest novel, Exposure, Brandilyn defends her title well. This may be her best suspense novel yet. She's taken some of her own fears and phobias, added a generous mix of others, and invested her protagonist with all of them.Kaycee Ray writes an advice column for people with fears, and she's successful because she has so many of her own. This book doesn't introduce a dead body in the first chapter--just a photo of one, a photo that appears so mysteriously it almost sends Kaycee off the deep end. The chapters that follow take the reader on a wild roller coaster ride, with each event building suspense. And even the veteran reader of mystery and suspense will be floored by the ending.Don't read this one in a dark house while you're alone, and prepare to leave a night light burning.
