Exploring Handwriting Through Astronomy will give your children two learning opportunities in one! This Super Successful Cursive edition gives children ample opportunities to practice their cursive handwriting skills while learning about the space and the solar system.
The first few sheets provide practice opportunities for individual letters and numbers. From that point, pages are organized by sections on the planets, moon, stars, and more. Each section begins with defined vocabulary before the facts to copy. Two sets of correctly-sized lines provide a full-sized example to visualize how the fact should look with space to trace/write their own version underneath. Independence is encouraged as the tracing lines are gradually reduced as students progress.
The facts in this book are written from a young-earth creationist perspective.
161 non-reproducible pages; consumable workbook. Spiralbound with plastic protector covers. Suggested scheduling includes 10-15 minutes per day or 15-30 minutes three times per week.

Jenifer1 Stars Out Of 5Exploring Handwriting through Astronomy (Cursive Edition)October 25, 2016JeniferQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1Ordered this book for a 4th grader who started cursive in 1st grade. While looking online I saw a page of just tracing letters, but assumed that it was only a page or two, especially given the subject matter. When I received the book, almost half of it it tracing letters and the words for each fact. The student would have to be halfway through the book to begin "writing" on their own. In my opinion, by the time they are old enough to be studying astronomy, they should not need to trace their cursive. While the book looked very interesting, we will be returning it.
