We find all Apologia Jr Notebooks worth buying. They really help a young kiddo grasp what is being read in the text book, because of the hands-on activities. From coloring while they are read to, to creating the mini lapbooks, these are a hit and don't feel like "schoolwork".

We have done every Apologia elementary science they make. This is a favorite. I thought the labs were especially fantastic.

great book. Love the minibooks at the end of each module. great that there is less writing to be done than other workbooks.

My 8 year old daughter can complete many sections on her own and the projects/experiments are simple but meaningful.

We love this book - the "cut outs/crafts" at the end are in color (most of the workbook is in black and white). I love that they make a "junior" version of this for learning at the same time but at a different level. Our oldest son has extra chromosomes (aka: special needs) and is no where near his younger brother developmentally. A problem we tend to run into is that many books made for his "grade level" are so far from his age that it feels baby-ish. This he can work right along side his brother (who does not have the jr version) doing similar projects/learning but at his level.
