I am currently teaching this curriculum to all 3 of my children ages 4 1/2 to 9 yrs. I love the way I can easily adapt it to each of them. Our family has enthusiastically completed Zoology 1 and 2. Botany is just as fantastic as the other 2.
This is a very well-laid out science curriculum. I love the fact that it is written from a Biblical worldview; it has made science fascinating for my children (and for me)! The information is presented in a logical, easy to understand text, and I am confident that my children are receiving the best education available on the topic for their grade level.
1) debunking the myths of evolution, this is reason enough to have this book at your house
2) great complete study of botany for upper elementary
3) my only criticism is the text is rather wordy, she could make her point more quickly, however it doesn't seem to bother my fourth grader
I have my child read the text to himself and do a selection of the activities from the separately sold Junior Journal. He once exclaimed, "Hey mom, the people who wrote this book are Christians!" This comment was telling of the fact that most science books, movies, etc. preach evolution.
