Give your junior high students a fun and helpful way to build study skills while reinforcing their lessons from Apologia's Exploring Creation with General Science, 2nd Edition textbook. The colorful pages integrate photos, graphics, diagrams, and trendy fonts that provide a fresh, up-to-date feel, while the associated textbook page numbers referenced at the top of assignments will keep everyone on track.
This accompanying student notebook journal includes 16 modules that correspond to the 16 modules in the text. This interactive resource includes graphic organizers; "On Your Own" questions (with room to answer them); study guide questions; "What Does God's Word Say" investigations that point students to scripture; "Digging Deeper" exercises that provide hands-on or web-based activities; and summary questions, creating a convenient notebook to study and prepare for tests. Lab report forms for each experiment in the textbook's module are also provided. The back of the book includes fill-in-the-blank module summaries; these are optional, and provide extra practice for students who are having difficulty studying for the module tests.
A complete daily schedule breaks down the text, notebook pages, and tests into weekly and daily blocks; following the schedule will enable students to finish the course in 34 weeks, working at approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour per day. 453 pages, softcover, spiralbound.

Ask a Question▼▲
Q: Are the answers to the questions included in the Notebook?
The answers to the module summaries are found in WW238417 "Exploring Creation with General Science, Solutions and Tests". Answers to additional activities in the notebook are included in the notebook.
Q: I have the first edition of this textbook, and am wondering if it is workable to use this lab book with the 1st edition? Thank you!
Because of text changes we do not recommend using different editions together. Since changes between the first and second editions were minimal, you may be able to use this book with the first edition text by adjusting the order of a few of the assignments.
Q: What is included in the General Science Notebook? Are there pages in the notebook with Study Guide questions and room to answer them for each chapter? Are the templates for the Lab reports like the ones in the younger books (ex. Zoology 1-3) or do they just have separate spaces to write paragraphs under vague headings like the Lab Report Apologia gives for the example online?
Yes, the study guide questions are included (see sample pdf pages 34-37). It also contains detailed lab report forms (sample pdf pages 48-56).
Q: Where are the answers to the summaries? The fill-in-the-blank summaries are great but where do you find the answers to them?
The answers to the module summaries are found in WW238417 "Exploring Creation with General Science, Solutions and Tests".
Q: Will there be a notebook like this coming out for Physical Science from Apologia?
We currently expect to ship these around October 1, 2012.
Q: do you need this if using the cd rom?
The "Student Notebook" is not required to use this curriculum. It is a supplemental item that helps to organize learning and reinforce the lesson concepts. You would use it to accompany the CD-Rom in the same way that you would the book.
