teaching mama5 Stars Out Of 5November 21, 2013teaching mamaQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5We are still in the first module, but enjoying this book so far. Works well with the workbook, and the experiment kit has saved me a lot of time!
smile4 Stars Out Of 5good program - must get the student notebookOctober 11, 2013smileQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Overall, this is a good science program - I highly recommend getting the student notebook - it contains all the lab report write ups, a daily schedule (so you know how to plan out all the sections/modules for the year).
I did not buy the student notebook initially, and then bought it 2 weeks later - it is really a must for making this science curriculum work well.
JJC23Age: 25-34Gender: female3 Stars Out Of 5Harder then expectedSeptember 26, 2013JJC23Age: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 3Value: 3Meets Expectations: 3It's a little hard I would say for anyone under about 6th grade! It came up in material for 2nd grade, and while I like my child to be challenged, this is a bit much! The material is good, but really difficult, and not at all what I was expecting.

It has an easy to follow style and is organized very well. It is visually a little dull, but this is made up for in the Student Journal which I highly recommend to accompany it. It has a strong foundation in the scientific method and I know it will prepare my child well for future science courses. I really like the experiments so far and how they make use of easy to find supplies.
Elisia5 Stars Out Of 5Detailed, yet easy to follow and comprehend.August 29, 2013ElisiaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5It was suggested to me by another home schooler that Apologia in the middle grades was too difficult. Not so! The text has an excellent flow, as well as being easily understood by my 11 and 13 year old children.
I will stay in line with Apologia through High school.
Also, no where else have I found prices for books and materials matching those of Christianbook.
