The page design of this notebook is amazing. My kids really enjoy the layout and the correlation to the text. Unfortunately, the quality of this product is not in line with older Apologia notebooks. The paper is SOOO thin. Previous note booking journals by Apologia had much nicer paper. This paper is so thin that all writing bleeds through to the other side. However, the second problem is that it is WAY to big to be bound into one volume, so I understand why they wouldn't want to use thicker paper. The book is physically hard to work with because it is so thick and the binding is so floppy. Because the paper is thin, the whole thing was a mess to use in a week and was falling apart. My solution was to bind it into two smaller volumes myself. Unfortunately, they used an odd sized punch, so I couldn't use my spiral binder to make a cover for the second volume. The company really needs to use thicker paper and make this two volumes to be practical for use over a whole year. I would recommend it, if a friend got it on sale and was able to bind it into two volumes.

This book is a wonderful resource for my 8th grade daughter. The lesson plan format and the detailed notes and instructions are easy for her to follow and use. Love it!
