Apologia's Botany Junior Notebooking Journal provides grade-appropriate activities specifically geared towards younger students who aren't as advanced in their writing abilities. Almost the same length as the regular journal, the notebooking pages are designed to suit students struggling with their handwriting and writing skills; dashed writing lines, cut-and-paste, coloring pages, and fewer writing activities make the junior notebooking journal perfect for struggling older students or for younger students in grades K-3.
Coloring pages, scripture copywork, "dig in deeper" ideas, diagrams to label, word bank/fill-in-the-blank, book suggestions, and other fun lapbooking pages are included, as well as full-color minibooks. While some activities are designed for those who can go out and experience nature outdoors, alternate activities for those in colder climates are also included.
A fantastic way to accompany the sold-separately Exploring Creation with Botany. 221 non-reproducible pages plus 57-page full-color section. Spiral bound, softcover.

martenscr5 Stars Out Of 5Time saverApril 21, 2017martenscrQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I've got 5 students and 2 babies in the house right now and needed a way to make things a little easier. I decided to try Apologia Science and the kids picked Botany. (My oldest is doing General Science) We've got 2 Notebook Jr. and 1 regular Notebook and are using them together and so far it's working very well. The younger kids sit at the table and listen and color along with us. I love having the schedule in the front and how the levels coordinate with each other.
beth5 Stars Out Of 5must have with textbookOctober 1, 2016bethQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I bought this for my second grader to do along with the text. She's excited about having her own science journal and really enjoys doing the activities in it. I like that there's a Junior version so she can do science with her older brother but, at her own level. The suggested lesson plans at the front of the notebook is a nice guide to use too. It makes planning for science a bit easier and leaves more time for teaching rather than lesson planning from scratch.
amber5 Stars Out Of 5excellent!April 30, 2015amberQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We are very excited to start our new botany study! This notebook will be perfect for my 2nd grader and kindergartener to share. I was nervous to make the extra expense, but this notebook far exceeds my expectations! We are in love with the Apologia books and are thrilled to have notebooking materials for little guys just learning to write! My children have always loved collecting things from "nature walks" and can't wait to fill these pages with all of their discoveries. Our order arrived quickly and in beautiful condition. Thank you so much for helping to enrich my children's lives!

They have some great little notebooking activities that are easy to do and lots of extra ideas for further projects, if you desire to do more. I love this resource.....it makes the reading lessons more interactive. I highly recommend them!

Then the next year the started making this Jr Notebooking journal. We decided to try it and we LOVE it. It has something for all my boys to do. Even my 4 year old who likes to get in the middle of school can at least color one of the coloring pages. But there are also things that challenge my 10 year old.
