Jessica Scruggs1 Stars Out Of 5King Charles was not married to Marie Antoinette!March 22, 2012Jessica ScruggsQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1How do you make this mistake? At the top of page 42 of this book it states when referring to Charles 1 of England: "The king's wife, who was Marie Antoinette, was a French Catholic." King Charles was in fact married to Henrietta Maria, who was French. However, she was not Marie Antoinette. This makes me wonder how many other mistakes there are in this book.

cookingmamaHazleton, PA.Age: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Covers a lot of historyApril 18, 2011cookingmamaHazleton, PA.Age: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 3Meets Expectations: 3I liked the book over all ,but felt they went into too much detail about irrelevant history. It seems a little confusing when the chapter is tilted one thing but they discuss other people and events. It covers a lot of history and people. It's a good book if you want to get through a summary of American history in one year.
Q: what age/grade level is this suggested for?
The publisher incorporates this into their grade 5 curriculum, but it can be used with children in grade school through junior high.
