ehomeschooler5 Stars Out Of 5using explode the codeNovember 28, 2015ehomeschoolerQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5i have used 1 and 1 -1/2. and both are wonderful but for different children. my daughter did not do well with the mastery approach by repetition which is my definition of the whole number workbooks but when i switched to just doing the half books it built up her phonic awareness and her confidence. whereas, my son now in kindergarten is thriving with the whole level wkbooks. He moves on ahead by himself sometimes because he enjoys making the correlations with words he is learning and recognizing them again in the next lesson but arranged slighltly differently. it is doing volumes for his confidence and he is making huge strides in reading!

I used this and the other levels of this curricula for my daughter starting when I took her out of public school in the 3rd grade. She is now a senior. She enjoyed them and learned what she should have learned in school. She has always been a good reader but had trouble spelling which is why I purchased this for her. I guess you could say it worked because now she points out all my mistakes haha! This was not available when I was in school and I did not learn phonics. I am thankful this was available for her and she learned what I didn't. I would and have recommended it many times!

Dusty5 Stars Out Of 5Loving this!August 26, 2016DustyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We are only one week into school, but my six year old son enjoys this workbook. He has never been a child that loves workbooks, so i was very happy to see him loving this. We are doing 1st grade and this is a little on the easy side for him, but i feel like thats part of what helps him enjoy it...I think this is a confidence builder for him and it is solidifying all of his phonics knowledge.
