It happens in almost every part of life. We wear down, burn out, and lose hope. While nothing is fail-safe, there are things you can do to halt the downward slide in your family. This book gives dynamic biblical solutions to people who are asking: - Why don't I have passion in my spiritual life? - Is it still possible to restore my marriage? - Can I raise my children to be "on fire" for God? - Where do I start? Bruce Wilkinson shows how, in the midst of a society without morals, a passionate relationship with Jesus is possible -- not just a "mountaintop experience," but an everyday vibrant relationship. This popular book is newly released with an updated cover!
Bruce Wilkinson is the founder of Walk Thru the Bible Ministries and Walk Thru the Bible International. He is the author of the New York Times bestsellers The Prayer of Jabez and Secrets of the Vine as well as 30 Days to Experiencing Spiritual Breakthroughs and numerous other books. Bruce and his wife, Darlene, live in Atlanta, Georgia, and have three children.

Crazy RAGsCoshocton, OHAge: Under 18Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5A great bookDecember 29, 2012Crazy RAGsCoshocton, OHAge: Under 18Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Experiencing Spiritual Breakthroughs by Dr. Bruce H. Wilkinson is a book based on the different levels of being a Christian. Each level is represented by a chair. The first chair is commitment the second is compromise the third is conflict. During each chapter it has three different stories on the same subject one describing each chair. It helps you with your every-day life and it tries to put you in one of the chairs.
It's a very eye-opening book. Although the stories are about other people I found myself putting myself in their place. I tried to imagine what I would do, in that kind of situation. The book showed me that no matter what I'm going through I should trust God. Because even when the going gets tough God will still be there to help me through.
I would recommend this book to all my friends. It helped me understand who I am and who I should be. I understood that no matter what chair you sit in there is always room for improvement. Never give up trying and never stop improving. No one is perfect but our goal is to get there. Even if we will always fall short keep heading for the goal.
I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.
