Tell us a little about yourself. I am a former teacher turned writer who loves finding grace in the mundane, everyday places in life. While I have lived most of my adult life through the lens of chronic illness, I am living proof that a hard story can be a good story when written by the hand of a good God.
What was your motivation behind this project? Following the pandemic and the true struggle we all had with living a life outside our control, we found ourselves living with much of the same tension we'd experienced in previous loss, illness, and pain. In those seasons, we need authentic, tearstained, battled for hope and that no matter the hard that comes, we are loved and championed for by a good God.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope at its most basic it is a place where people can be reminded that they are not alone in this world or alone in their struggle.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? We have navigated a season in the last year that is arguably our hardest yet. Walking through God's faithfulness in our yesterdays gave me the strength and hope I needed to trust He had today and our tomorrows.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I love C.S. Lewis, Brennan Manning, Henri Nowen---I love chasers of grace and works in progress.
