John S. Kloppenborg Verbin is Professor of New Testament at the University of St. Michael's College and the Toronto School of Theology. His publications include The Formation of Q (1987), Q Parallels: Synopsis, Critical Notes, and Concordance (1988), editor, The Shape of Q (1994), Conflict and Invention: Literary, Rhetorical, and Social Studies on the Sayings Gospel Q 1995), and Excavating Q: The History and Setting of the Sayings Gospel (Fortress Press, 2000). He is also co-director of the International Q Project and the co-editor of The Critical Edition of Q (Hermeneia Supplements; Fortress Press, 2000).
