Author Bio

Allan Moseley is Associate Dean of Biblical Studies, and Senior Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He earned his M.Div. and Ph.D. at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Before his teaching career, he served as a pastor for 15 years, and since beginning his service as a professor he has served as an interim pastor for numerous churches. He has written, edited, or contributed to ten books, has written over one hundred articles and Bible studies for publication, and has lectured and preached widely. Allan and his wife Sharon have three married children and nine grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and fishing.

Jonathan Akin is vice president for church relations and campus ministries at Carson-Newman University. He also serves as the director of the NAMB Leadership Institute for the North American Mission Board and as an adjunct Old Testament professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He earned his M.Div. and Ph.D. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Akin is the author of books like Preaching Christ from Proverbs, Exalting Jesus in Proverbs, and Exalting Jesus in Ecclesiastes. He has served as a pastor of churches in Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, and North Carolina. He and his wife Ashley have three children: Maddy, Emma Grace, and Judson.
