Anyone not sure of the Bible's authenticity or the truth of the Gospel accounts in the NT should have a go at this book. It is truly a monumental work; the result of two generations of research and thought. The book's sheer size can be overwhelming. However, the format of the various sections allows the reader to dive deeply or just hit the high spots, depending upon his/her interest in any given topic. I would especially recommend the book to anyone who has grown up under the "great metaphorical stories, but they didn't really happen" teaching that prevailed well into the 20th century. However, much of the relevant archeological evidence gathered over the last 75 years points toward the historical accuracy of various Biblical accounts of people, places, and events. "Evidence" will challenge many of the things you thought you knew about the Bible. If for no other reason, it's a great resource to have.

I have an older edition of this fantastic book, but this new edition is definitely up to date! It is blowing my mind and I so much more praise the Lord for who He is ever more!

Exceptional book.

this is an amazing book. the Arthur was a non believer until he found the historical evidence that proved beyond a shadow of adoubt that both the bible and the resurrection were fact and he lays thse truths out in the book as well as the skeptics claims and shoots them down the book is very hard to put down and would make a great gift or would be great for a study

Whether you're looking for answers or reinforcement in your relationship with God, Evidence That Demands a Verdict is the way to go. (But don't forget to read your Bible!!) It's a great tool and enhancement to your spiritual journey.
