Very few books have ever touched me like this one has. Lynn Austin has been blessed with a unique writing style that grabs ahold of you from the very first chapter and doesn't let go until long after you finish reading the entire novel.
I'm not sure if this was the authors intent when penning this story, but she has helped me to look at my marriage differently (in a good way) and inspired me to do more to be a better wife.
The women in this book bring with them, a perspective based on what time period they were raised, how they were reared, and how their decisions and circumstances shaped who they became. It is a story of choices and the consequences of each one.
I was so impressed by what I read, and learned, that I am adding this novel to my keeper shelf to be read again and again. If you are searching for answers, are having trouble understanding your marriage, or how important forgiveness is, this book will surely help in many ways.
This book is one of those that you can't put down. You just have to know the secret! I enjoyed this book so much. I love how the Gospel is presented in this book. I read this as a part of a book club and we discussed the different generations represented and it was so enjoyable to hear everyone's take on the women. It is a must read, and a great gift for anyone.
First book of Lynn Austin's I had ever read;went on to read A Woman's Place andAll She Ever Wanted. Love them all-but Eve's Daughters is my fav. I love the showing of how our God forgives. I have ancestors who had the conflict of the different "Faiths" Prodestant and Catholic; this book helped me understand the history of the conflict. Will recomand this book!
