HeatherRichey, MTAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5A Wonderful Life LessonFebruary 4, 2017HeatherRichey, MTAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I thought that this was going to be a book about Christians and getting tattoos. It took me awhile to read it but I was interested to hear what the author was going to say about it because in my Mennonite upbringing, I was always told that the Bible says not to mark yourself. This book was about so much more than tattoos. I couldn't put it down once I started it. Roxanne has such a spirit. I hope if I am ever against the odds she has been, I will be equally as strong. Inked for Eternity is a life lesson that we all could stand to read.
I received a free copy of this book for my honest review from bookfun.org.
Mrs ARS4 Stars Out Of 5A personal story of HopeJuly 18, 2016Mrs ARSQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Inked for Eternity is Roxanne Wermuths personal story of brokenness, abuse, disease and eventually hope. Beginning with trying to gain the acceptance as a little girl from an abusive father to trying to work through her jealousy of her husband, Roxanne was trying to achieve what she thought would most make her happy on her own. However, at the age of 40 she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and it affected her career which she believed was most important to her. Almost dying put Roxanne on the path that she realized everyday was a gift and so was her husband and daughters. I liked when she asked if her MS was a disability or a new ability. She allowed a difficult diagnosis change her perspective of life and God and heaven for the better. I received a copy of this book for an honest review from The Book Club Network, Inc. and the opinions are my own.
PatsdreamHuntsville, ALAge: Over 65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Moving Non-Fiction Life Story that Will Touch your HeartApril 11, 2016PatsdreamHuntsville, ALAge: Over 65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The author tells of how she dealt with the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. This book at lot to me because my daughter-in-law has been diagnosed with MS also. Roxanne Wermuth's story of how this affected her helped me to be more understanding of my DIL's mood swings.
Roxanne tells of her struggles with depression, anxiety and being a type A personality. While I a coma she has a glimpse of Heaven. This starts a change in her life and how she views the world around her. Some of the treatments caused permanent hair loss. She decides to tattoo her head with the vivid colors that she saw in fields of flowers in Heaven. In my opinion she is a truly brave and courageous lady. For one thing, she is a member of the Church of the Nazarene, which doesn't belief in tattooing your body. However, she felt led by God to do this.
If you are dealing with depression, illness, any type of chronic illness that affects your life, your family's life or even friends, then this book will open up new avenues and ways to deal with life with faith and strength, grace and God's mercy. I found this book to be inspiring and it will lift your faith by her strength and how she learned to deal with the life she has to live in her walk with God. I believe this book will truly inspire any of read it.
I received this book through the Book Club Network, author and publisher. The only request was to live my honest opinion. This book touched my heart and I'm sure it will yours. My prayers are with you Roxanne & thank you for your story.

jacquiRIllinoisAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Inked for EternityMarch 15, 2016jacquiRIllinoisAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Inked for Eternity by Roxanne Wermuth with Peter Lundell is an amazing, uplifting story. I am inspired by her testimony and life. Her life could have been a textbook case of an abused child whose hurt and anguish caused her to act out and destroy, rather than to forgive, learn, and heal. At first, she was driven by her need to prove herself, and her Type A personality drove her to ruthlessly build her career in sales. Yet, a diagnosis of MS interrupts her life and career. Depression and suicidal thoughts consume her after the challenge of this disease.
Hospitalized and in a twenty-four hour coma, Roxanne experiences what she deems a glimpse of the outskirts of Heaven. And this wonderful glimpse of Eternity changes her life and perspective forever. She states, the fears that seized me prior to my heaven experience no longer exist. Because I have seen heaven. And I can say that it is more real than life on earth. I know God is with me, and Im in His mighty hands. That is enough.
Inked for Eternity gives hope and inspiration to all who are struggling with disease, relationship problems, anger, losswhatever. Many people say, If she can get through that, and have a genuine smile on her face, then I can get through this.
In her words Ive learned a new perspective on pain and trouble. I found what countless others havethat when I put adversity into Gods hands, He makes positive things happen. Her story will influence you to live in the light of Gods presence, realizing that afflictions are temporary and what is unseen is eternal. I cannot say enough about this book. It can be life-changing. I plan to reread this because there is so much good advice in it and so much inspiration in her story. I highly recommend this book that I received through TBCN in exchange for an honest review.
