ESV Thinline Trutone Bible, brown/cordovan with portfolio design... What a terrific feel. Great look. Beautiful shade of brown with an elegant look. Honestly, I did not expect such a good looking Bible for this price, especially with the gilded page edges. It has a simple brown paper paste down liner, and a brown ribbon marker is supplied. The paper is a good quality without too much ghosting, and the binding is smyth- sewn! Can't lose with this one.
I have taken probably two weeks to find the perfect bible for myself instead of relying in family members to pick it out. Noticed this on Barnes and Noble. They were asking about $80 for the same bible on here. And I thought that is not a right way to find the perfect bible for the right price. So I thought I would never find one the same as this. But thankfully we live in the 21st century. Thank you internet!
Cover is not leather more like suede. the pages are silver on the outter part which I loved. Pages are like see through so becareful if you plan on highlighting. If your eye sight is very bad do not buy get a large print one. The print is not a size 10 more like a 6. So yes its small print. But beautiful colors I am so happy I found one perfect for me.
I LOVED my Bible that I ordered, loved the colour and I loved the text, would have given it a 100% review except I found something that I didn't like. To others it might be a minor matter, but to me it made the difference in seeing how the manufacturer values the word of God. Below is the example.
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."
As I was reading this verse from the first chapter of Genesis, I noticed that the manufacture did not (I believe) show God the respect that He deserved. I believed the manufacture should have capitalized any reference to God. So that instead of "So God created man in his own image..." it should have been "So God created man in His own image...". This is my personal view, but it was really pleased with everything else.
