I was pleased to see the Ryrie Study Bible being offered in the ESV. In my opinion, the English of the ESV is the most beautiful of any conservative modern translation. Although not a dispensationalist, I have used the Ryrie in KJV for more years than I would like to think about and have confidence in the comments, and have always found the additional helps very useful. This is a great pairing.
This Bible has great study tools.....maps, timelines, study notes, cross references, concordance, brief survey of church history, doctrines of the scriptures, etc. The cover is beautiful, very handsome Bible. The only thing I don't like is that they have taken masculine terms such as 'he' and 'men' and changed it to ''people' and 'they'. I find that unnecessary and changing direct translation.
