He is also a contributor to the ESV Study Bible. Ray and his wife, Jani, have been married for fifty years.

R. Justin S. Holcomb (PhD, Emory University) is an Episcopal priest and teaches theology at Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando. Philip Graham Ryken (DPhil, University of Oxford) is the eighth president of Wheaton College.
