I've had mine for almost 2 years now . I have a few other Bibles, and this is my favorite . The big print is a great advantage for casual reading and the huge margins doesn't feel like someone crammed too much into too little space .

I'm turning this into MY study Bible . I study a lot . When I learn something from another source I want to recall, it gets noted in here . Might come from a sermon, commentary, even someone's comment . If I want to recall it, in my Journal it goes . Study Bibles are designed to be everyone's tool . THIS one's my own .

    It's constantly improving !!! Good investment .

Really nice leather binding, as well . It's getting broken in . Pages are thicker than usual, so you can treat this pretty rough without a fear of damage, too .

Beautiful bible with poor note-taking lines. Too tight and bold.

The Mocha bonded leather version of this bible has much better note lines. They are ligthter and dotted, and are further apart. This genuine leather version is beautiful for sure and is the kind you would pass down to your kids. It lays more flat than the bonded leather version, and the flap makes it easy to carry and protects the pages. HOWEVER, why in the world did they decide to make the lines so tight and bold? It's like the copy-setter just used the underline key on their keyboard. No thought or design to it. Writing in that small space is difficult and not practical. A beautiful bible compromised by lazy design. Why not make it the same as the bonded leather lines? Returning this one and just keeping the bonded leather venison.

I love this Bible. It is quality and simple beauty. I was not the biggest fan of ESV, however through using this Bible I have become one. I love how you can wrap it up to protect the pages. I don't mind the lines on the side of the page at all. If I want to squeeze in words, the lines keep everything neat, readable and allow for more wording. When I want to be more creative and draw ~ the lines don't matter at all. It has lots of room, functionality and beauty. Truly it is becoming my favorite Bible. I love its "rugged beauty" . Thank you CROSSWAY, a quality Bible.

This Bible is awesome. I love the cover and the pages don't bleed through when using my Pigma Micron pens. This is a beautiful Bible and I love the strap. I just fold the strap into the side flap and tuck it into the back page and it works perfectly. The cover is really nice. The Bible lays flat when you are reading. Don't hesitate. The print size is perfect for my old eyes! And I really like the single column. I got mine on sale which made it even a sweeter deal. But it is well worth the full price. I've been looking at this Bible for a while. Glad I got it.

Wonderful note taking Bible. Plenty of room to interact with the text.

Wow - this is a fabulous Bible.

The "large print" is just right for me. It's far from large, but it's a good reading size. (Very similar to the size of text in a standard book - maybe a point smaller.)

The pages are thick enough that pencil does not bleed through and it's no problem to erase and try again. Pen does bleed through, so I'm not using them. Wet highlighters bleed through a bit, but not problematic. I'm sure dry highlighters are totally fine.

The lines in the margin... I didn't want them. But really, now that I'm using it, I like the notes and prefer them. Taking notes with the lines helps keep my notes more orderly. If I were artistic and liked to draw as my method of journaling, this would be annoying. But since I am a note taker, this has actually worked out to my benefit.

Single column - is wonderful. Far better to have one column for notes and one column of text. Many journal bibles have two columns of text. How do you connect notes from the wide margin to the text then?

Durability - I purchased the leather version and am SO appreciative of the flap that protects the pages. I don't use the leather strap to tie it closed, but the flap is great and it does protect it nicely. VERY important for a long term Bible. I guess the alternative with a standard Bible is to buy a Bible case - that protects it even better, but I really like this.

Writing - the Bible binding is flexible and allows it to lay flat, which is important for note taking.

Summary - I'm a huge fan of this Bible. It's large and expensive (the two negatives) but worth it!
