I like introductions to bible books, systematic theology, and character portraits.

This publication and presentation of the Bible exceeded my expectations. I desired a smaller (travel) Bible in one of several excellent translations which also included study notes. The binding is of leather, a handsome weathered-looking color of very dark (almost brown) green. A Celtic cross is embossed on the cover. Initials can also be engraved in several choices; I chose 3 gold initials in right lower corner, front cover. I could not have been more pleased with this purchase, a gift for my daughter.

I bought this for my son for graduation and he is very pleased with it. We already loved the EVS version but really like all the extra stuff put into the study bible.

I have the normal size also. I like this one much better. You don't have the information in the back such as bible ethics etc. But in the front you have a listing of "bible charts " which is not in the larger bible. It is very readable,text and notes.It is the perfect size for church. I wish I would of bought this one first. It is a little stiff but it will loosen up. It is put together well and I'm sure it will last a long time. I have many study Bibles this is the best and the one I will be using the most.
