Had it a year. Quality has held up. Wanted a wide margin in ESV. This was the answer, in spite of it being larger that my usual handheld Bibles, but you can't have a wide margin with readable print in a hand size! Only criticism, the references at the bottom left of the page are too small for me to see without good light (maybe I have old eyes). Attractive Bible inside and outside. REALLY like my Bible. Love the contents.
This Bible is extremely well made! It includes many factors many people are looking for in a Bible: double column, size 9 font, red letter, two ribbon markers, generous margins, cross references, and more!
Related to the Top Grain Leather--this is extremely well made and of high quality. The leather itself smells extremely nice and has a very flexible/soft/floppy feel to it that lays flat out of the box. It feels very nice out of the box and gets better with age.
I would HIGHLY recommend this Bible for anyone who likes to write in their Bibles. I would also recommend this Bible for a good at home study or a preaching Bible. The size is somewhat large--but smaller than a normal ESV Study Bible.
This Top Grain Leather deal on CBD is well worth the money, and I would recommend upgrading from the trutone versions to this version--you will NOT be disappointed!
compared to Heirloom version (~$100 more) and to cambridge and to many others: this is simply the BEST. the binding is excellent, lies truly flat, no faults with liner or cutting. point size + font combo is most readable avail in the various WM editions (multiple publishers). paper is thickest of all, perfect for note taking. margins on inside and outside are equal and very reasonable width - also maring on bottom is useful. crossway formats the xrefs at the bottom of the second column - this they take up none of the page width (efficient use of space). Top Grain leather is truly a beautiful grain, and linings are superb. i purchased the cambridge and the heirloom for comparison - returned both. BUY this Bible!
My only caution: i had to send one back, since the red letter ink was not a consistent density (light vs dark on diff pages) - BUT the replacement was perfect and pain-free swap. i checked every page of the Bible - no problems of any sort.
