The only draw back I see with the ESV Journaling Bible is the font size. Just a little small. However for me keeping the message outlines on the side is a great help. I really love it and recommend it to all who enjoy adding their notes to the margin of God's Word.
Although I love the idea of a Journaling Bible and, equally, I love the ESV Bible, the lettering in this particular Bible and the space given for journaling is just too small and limited. Great concept, bad results in this particular case. I wish I had a more positive post, but others should know what I now do.
I love the texture and softness of the leather wrapping the Bible. The flap is very soft and the strap tucks away easy enough. Unfortunately the board that is glued to the leather began peeling within days. It was just a little bit so I decided to glue it with leather glue. It worked for a few weeks. Today, with all my notes, the back board is peeled off about halfway. It really makes the construction of the Bible seem cheap. I don't know how to fix it any better than I did before and I don't want to loose all my notes and replace it... So I'm stuck with a prematurely warn Bible. Considering the quality categories you enter when approaching and surpassing the $100 range, I'd recommend people not purchase this Bible. Quality standards are simply not there.
