I think this is a pretty good Bible. I am a fan of the ESV translation as it is an easy to read translation for both new believers and seasoned ones. I am in love with the design and color of the Bible. White and blue marble with gold accents -- GORGEOUS. I love that this a Smyth-sewn Bible...we love those. This Bible also comes with one ribbon bookmark, but I wish there were two. This is not a red letter text, but it doesn't bother me as much.

This is a single column study Bible which I've grown to love the single column style. The study notes are amazing as they focus on the gospel throughout the Bible and give factual information. The space provided on the side makes it great for using as a journaling Bible or adding stickers if need be. I love the topical index because it gives you so many words to focus on -- great for doing a specified word study.

My favorite thing about this Bible is the focus on the gospel throughout the entire Bible as a whole. It helps to make the Old Testament more "relevant" to our lives now and brings the entire view of the Bible from Old to New focused on story of Christ.

This Bible has so much packed inside to make reading and studying the Bible a pleasure. The cover is gorgeous, with it's blue marble effect, as well. I love how it lays flat and feels sturdy in my hand. The dust cover is beautiful but the Bible without it is beautiful as well.

The text is quite easy to read, although the study notes are a bit smaller. However, I didn't have any trouble reading the study notes despite them being a smaller. One thing I like about the study notes is that they are extensive and really explain the Scriptures in a detailed way.

I also love the explanation in the front of the Bible on how to use the study notes, footnotes and other extras inside this Bible. There's also a section to record family information, maps, and a concordance.

This Bible is wonderful and a great resource for your time in the Word. With all it's wonderful study notes, you'll get a greater understanding of God's Word and what could be better than that?

I highly recommend this Bible and give it 5 stars.

This review is for the hardcover edition of the Gospel Transformation Study Bible.

The dust jacket on this Bible is very nice looking with the blue and white design and the Bible looks even nicer when the dust jacket is removed and you can see the blue and white design on the cover, the head and tail bands are blue and white which match the cover colors. The Bibles does come with a silver colored ribbon marker to keep your place. The binding has sewn signatures so this Bible will hold up to years of use. The single column layout is easy to read, the letters for the cross references are a bit small for my eyes and are hard to see but the references themselves I can see. The study notes are in a double column format. The layout of the Bible is nicely done.

The study notes are all Christ and Gospel centered and will help you to learn how the Bible ultimately points to Jesus and that we all need a redeemer. I really enjoy the notes and it is neat to see things that point to Jesus that you may not have picked up on otherwise. This Bible also contains book introductions, some great articles as well as a topical index, concordance and maps. This Bible is not line matched so there will be some ghosting but it is not bad due to the paper being opaque and it does not distract me when reading this Bible.

I would recommend this Bible to a new believer or a seasoned Christian as well. The ESV is an excellent translation. I hope this review helps if you're considering this Bible.

I received this copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Out of the box this is one gorgeous looking Bible! It probably helps that my favorite color is blue, but I absolutely LOVE the design on the cover. As is the norm, the cover you see advertised is what the cardstock sleeve looks like, but underneath is a bit different. I really like that the wet-paint design is still present on the actual hardcover (see image), although it's a more basic design with no title on the front (but it's written in gold on the binding).

If you've ever used an ESV study Bible before you are probably aware that they tend to be a bit "heftier" than the other translations. As someone who prefers study Bibles but didn't want a giant one weighing half a ton or a smaller one with microscopic text, I'll admit it took me quite a while to finally settle on which one I wanted to get when I started going to a church that used the translation. This one is still a bit larger but I am actually able to grasp the binding with a single hand (which I actually can't do with my other one but I also have very small hands). I would still consider this a larger study Bible, but you could still functionally use it as a church and home Bible.

Inside the design is very simple with all black text. I'd consider it a comfortable font to read. The Bible text and study notes are written in two different fonts. I personally would have liked to see a bit more design go into the book introductions, but they are simple yet informative. There is a single gray ribbon marker to help keep your place. Perhaps to keep the size down (which I won't complain about), but I didn't notice any "extras" added aside from the study notes. I would consider this a more basic or minimalist study Bible when it comes to design and extras, but there is still plenty of content found within the study notes.

Overall I like this Bible a lot and would consider it a great option for your next study Bible.
