My daily Bible reading has been enhanced so much since I started using the Archeology Bible. I just got back from a trip to Israel. On the very first day using the Bible there was a photo of the gate at Dan where we had been the week before. The archeological evidence is compelling and the commentary sets the stage of Biblical events. The maps and photos are so helpful. It truly helps make God' s powerful Word come alive. It also helps refresh in my mind what I learned and saw while in the land where my Savior walked and died and rose again for me! I highly recommend this Bible.

We purchased 2 of these bibles a couple of months ago for our 11 and 13 year olds to read with them while getting an understanding of the historical context. Many of the maps pictures etc are truly very interesting. Our problem is more that it leaves us with a feeling that the Bible isn't the ultimate authority. A few of the comments we have read will say this is what the Israelites/God's people did, but then in the same breath explain what other religions did. I guess this is historical, but the manner in which it is portrayed is that the Bible is just one of many historic books. We will be looking into anther Study Bible.
