BrendaAge: 45-54Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5More than just a Bible studyOctober 27, 2022BrendaAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleThis review was written for Esther: Seeing Our Invisible God in an Uncertain World.Wow; since the Biblical book of Esther is barely 10 chapters long, I expected to receive a smallish book in the mail. What a lovely surprise to instead receive 250 pages of rich content. This book is more than just a Bible study. The authors, Lynn and Amy, vulnerably share stories from their hearts and lives as they walk us through Queen Esther's story, making this study both relevant and relational. With its thorough grasp of both the historical and spiritual aspects of Esther, this book offers "aha" moments, as well as modern day applicability. This is no stale, dry Bible study; rather, this is a book for every woman who longs to see her God amidst the uncertainty of her world.

But Lynn and Amy do a remarkable job of bringing the life of the jewish girl Esther into our everyday lives. Lynn writes, " God can and does use the big and the smaill, often turning our small into something bigger, using ordinary life events like sleepless nights, (who can relate there!) to make His name famous as well." Thank you Lynn and Amy for giving us everyday women tools to live a life worthy of God's calling. I highly recommend this study!

Amy L.5 Stars Out Of 5Not your mother's Esther studyJuly 28, 2022Amy L.This review was written for Esther: Seeing Our Invisible God in an Uncertain World.Have you ever felt that God was invisible, uncaring, and uninvolved in your problems? Me, too. This book tenderly reveals how God is always in control, and showed me myself in Esther's story. Ancient Persia came alive in in my own life, and helped me see God's unwavering hand even when He's leading me outside my comfort zone. I really liked the spaces for learning and reflection woven into the book, and especially the "Bible Nerd Box" tidbits of teaching. Because of the way the lessons are broken down into days with discussion questions at the end, I'm looking forward to sharing Esther with my Bible study group so I can apply it with friends.
