Having read this booklet, it is a very accurate and concise summary of the essential doctrines of salvation as of salvation as described in scriptures. The strong parts of this publication are the descriptive sections "What Do I Actually Need to Believe?" and "What Is at Stake Here?". These sections provide a clear and concise list of the essential verses that support each doctrine described. They function as a good starting point for further study of each doctrine.

The Creeds section was helpful but would have preferred it to be after the doctrine section since our belief is based on scripture. The creeds document the development of doctrine through church history and is great supplemental information but shouldn't be the lead section.

The Glossary of terms was very helpful in determining exactly what was meant by each term as used by the author. It would also serve as a handy tool for instructional purposes.

The comparison chart would be of more use if it were more extensive. Since Rose has other publications that deal specifically with doctrinal differences, this section could be expanded or, perhaps, eliminated for clarity in its current form.

When first looking at this publication, the size of twenty pages seemed to indicate that there would be plenty of content. It was disappointing to find five pages of catalog listings. It seems that this is superfluous and just adds bulk. A more concise bibliography or for further reading section would have been more practical.

As an owner of several Rose publications, the content measure up to Rose's high standards. The deficiencies are minor and should not prevent the purchase of this or other Rose publications. As required by Federal Trade Commission regulations, Rose Publishing has provided an advanced electronic reader copy of this publication. I would purchase a hard copy for use in teaching or discipling.
