E_Espinoza5 Stars Out Of 5Riveting and enjoyable!September 26, 2022E_EspinozaEntrusted, by Jody Hedlund, is the sixth and final book in the Knights of Brethren series. Like the other books in the series, this novel is brimming with plenty of adventure and romance. Fantasy elements including legends, knights, maidens, and lore make this book altogether thrilling. Captivating characters, stunning settings, and enduring themes also make this story moving and memorable. From beginning to end, this novel is well written, creatively detailed, and thoroughly entertaining.
Chapter by chapter, this novel alternates between the perspectives of the two main characters and grows increasingly engrossing. As the story develops, the characters encounter surprising enemies, deadly perils, and heart rending choices that compel them to embrace that which is courageous and honorable. Even when faced with significant doubts, selflessness and integrity embolden the characters to follow a course that will have significant ramifications for themselves and for those whom they love.
A talented writer of young adult fiction, Ms. Hedlund has crafted yet another novel that readers of all ages are sure to enjoy. Entrusted is both gripping and remarkable as it offers a satisfying, engaging conclusion to a wonderful series. It is truly a special novel, and I recommend it wholeheartedly.
*I was given a copy of this book by the author/publisher. A review was not required. The review I have written is voluntary and contains opinions that are entirely my own. -
Hannah5 Stars Out Of 5Loved this series!September 25, 2022HannahQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Entrusted! I was so pleased with theconclusion of this series!
Although, I am still hoping that there will one day be a continuation of this series, not only because I loved it so much but because I really feel that one of the characters in this book could really use a happily ever after of his own.
If youread any one of these books out of order I don't see how you stillcouldn't be completelyhooked and have to read the rest, however, I do recommend reading them in order, although either way, I think they will be thoroughlyenjoyed.
I lovedKristoffer andBirgitta's story! Two enemies that from the start seeminglycan't help but like each other. I loved the chemistrybetween these two! and enjoyed the storyline very much! In this story, I think you also really see just how deep of a bond the knights of the brethrenhave. Also, the true differencebetween light and darkness, good and evil and how hard it can be to make the right choice sometimes, but it's always worth it in the end.
Great story! Great series! I will definitelybe reading it many more times to come! -
Katieann8270Panama City, FLAge: 45-54Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful conclusion to this series!September 22, 2022Katieann8270Panama City, FLAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This whole series is amazing! When I began Entrusted I told myself that there was no way that I could love Birgitta and Kristoffer as much as I loved all the other couples in the series. But I did, I really did! They are a great couple who had such integrity and who tried to always do the right thing. Our pastor always says that you'll never go wrong by doing what's right and it's so true!
I loved the witty sparring between these two and the romance and adventures they have as they seek to find the holy lamp. This was truly a wonderful conclusion to one of my favorite series ever. Jody Hedlund sure knows how to write a good medieval young adult romance that is enjoyable for all ages!
I received an advance reader copy of this novel from the author. All opinions are my own. -
ConnieKentuckyAge: Over 65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful Conclusion to a Fantastic Series!September 19, 2022ConnieKentuckyAge: Over 65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5What a book! Author Jody Hedlund knows what her readers want, and she certainly delivers, in this tale of a beautiful but strong princess and a loyal and brave knight who find themselves caught up in a 'take-your-breath-away' romance. Birgitta and Kristoffer have an instant attraction but oh, the perils and danger that they encounter! Will they succeed in finding the Holy Lamp?
Entrusted has amazing characters and an engaging plot, but I was equally impressed with the many nuggets of inspiration woven into its story. I also loved that Hedlund offers glimpses of the five couples from the previous Knights of Brethren books. Entrusted is a thrilling medieval romance and the perfect way to end this series!
I received a complimentary copy from the author but there was no obligation for a positive review.

Knights of Brethren #6
By Jody Hedlund
The race to save their country from their neighbor is coming to a close as time has run out. The enemy has crossed their border and has advanced deeper into Norvegia. Kristoffer Prestegard is the last Knight of Brethren with any hope of capturing the holy lamp from Swaine's troops. But what he doesn't realize is that there are other forces at work, forces that are bent on toppling King Ansgar and putting Kristoffer on the throne in his stead.
But Kristoffer's loyalty is to Norvegia and King Ansgar. And he is determined to stop the Dark Warriors, who are aiding King Canute's efforts in taking Norvegia. When he and his squires come face to face with these formidable warriors in the dark of night, Kristoffer never imagined he might come away from the battle with something that could aid him in his quest. Princess Birgitta of Swaine was leading the warriors, holding their blood thirst in check. At least, she was before she became a prisoner.
What follows is a battle of wits and intellect as Kristoffer seeks to prevent his prisoner's escape and Brigitta attempts to lull him into complacency. What neither expected was the spark of attraction to grow between them. Falling in love with the enemy can't happen.
Entrusted is the sixth and final book in the Knights of Brethren series, and it is the definite climax as everything comes together. Will Norvegia withstand the threats, or will she fall as forces within and without conspire against her? As the final book, I can only say, "WOW!" This book was excellent and draws the series to a conclusion that can't be missed. Treachery, betrayal, a kingdom teetering on the brink, and a thoroughly impossible attraction. Yes, Jody Hedlund knows how to weave words so that one enters a world and becomes thoroughly engaged so that when the end comes, one is disappointed that the end has come.
I do recommend reading all the books in the series as they build upon one another. But the immediate predecessor, Enflamed, is an absolute must, as it too deals with the third quest - the search for the holy lamp and focuses on Kristoffer's family, providing needed background for Entrusted. Now I know this series is over, but I would love a companion series that would touch on some of the other characters and what happens to them. That, in my opinion, is the best endorsement of any book or series when you want more from this world.
I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion, all thoughts expressed are my own.
