The English III: Writing Skills course from Paradigm Accelerated Curriculum (PAC) continues to build on earlier courses with a strong focus on writing skills. This course was designed to help students who've been identified as exhibiting weak composition skills; it's recommended for use as a grade 11 remedial language arts curriculum.
Five text books feature the readings for the course. Together they cover different genres of writing; writing techniques that equip students to craft strong sentences and paragraphs; literary concepts such as cause and effect, logic, premises, and comparison; and more.
The five activity books correspond to each text, and include fill-in-the-blank, true/false, multiple choice, and matching type questions that test the student's knowledge of the concepts and Life Principles taught in the texts.
The loose-leaf teacher's guide contains the student texts' table of contents, activity answer keys, section quizzes, chapter tests, quiz answer keys, chapter test answer keys, and supplemental administrative resources. Pages are three-hole-punched. An access card to downloadable content is also included.

In preparation, the authorship team of the Paradigm Accelerated Curriculum System interviewed hundreds of parents, students, juvenile probation officers, state education officials, and police for some of the stories and examples.
