Become a more effective leader by integrating who you are with what you do. Some forty-five years ago when I began full-time pastoral work I was told many things by other ministers, some of them wrong, e.g., the ministry is mine, my wife is there to support me. Scazzero nailed me quickly on that one. Likewise, the counsel that God expects His servants to work themselves to death (spiritually speaking) . This book, though, is not brutal, it is healthy and may well save the marriage, family, and ministry of many who read it in the first decade or so of ministry. Thanks be to God, I am not too old to change and my ministry is still a life worth living. This book should be read annually by those tempted to let the world or others set the parameters for their ministry.
