Publisher's Description

She didn’t know it at the time but when the author first launched her paddle board into the Chesapeake Bay, it would be the beginning of a great spiritual journey. This journey would bring many encounters with the presence of God in His inspiring creation. Through the synthesis of journalling, reflection and photography, and through the dual lenses of counselling and Christianity, this book was born.

Author Bio

April Dawn Reese is a self-declared spiritual sojourner with a Bachelor of Science in Design and Masters degree in Counselling. After working briefly as an Interior Designer in New York State, she moved to Maryland’s rural Eastern Shore to marry her childhood sweetheart and for the next 16 years, April was blessed to stay at home to raise their three children and help her husband with his seafood business. Along the way, inspired through her work as a Sunday School teacher and Youth Leader, April pursued a second career in the field of educational counselling. After a number of years as a Middle School Counselor, and the arrival of her first grandchild, she retired to spend more time with family. April resides with her husband and their daughter, a stones throw away from their two other grown children and spouses, grandchildren, and the Chesapeake Bay.
