Elusive Hope is a historical romance with lots of adventure, mystery and suspense set in the jungles and city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. God and His saving grace are very much a part of this story. Although this is the second book in the series, I dont think it is necessary to read the first book, though they are tied together and have most of the same characters. Basically, this is Hayden and Magnolias story. If you like a many-layered story with multi-dimensional characters, I think you will enjoy this one.

MaryLu writes an amazing series (this is book 2) about a part of history I hadnt heard of before. I wont spoil any surprises, but I loved the first book in the series, and this second books is just as great! Her characters are so vivid and lifelikeI feel like I know them personally. They are all wounded people in some way, yet each has great strengths as well. They are thrown together in order to survive, which makes life very challenging, (sometimes funny!), and inevitably changes them for the better. But MaryLu throws in plot twists and some unexpected suspense as well! I couldnt stop put this book down until I finished it (in about 2 days), then I was in agony waiting for book 3. I highly recommend this bookand all of the books in this incredible series!

This is book 2 of a trilogy. The adventure started in book one continues. I love this story and these characters. The growth that they experience is fun to watch. I can't wait to keep reading this story in book 3.

I received this book in an online giveaway.
