Some of the suggestions for dealing with transitions seem rather prescriptive, but the book raises needed awareness of the aspects of the process that need to be addressed
Ron Bergman4 Stars Out Of 5May 4, 2008Ron BergmanThis book not only addresses issues that are important in pastoral transitions; it helps one understand the culture of churches. Understanding better "what makes a certain church tick" in terms of church culture is a big help in leading a church. Some of the material is rather complex, and is not necessarily an "easy read," but I found some very helpful gems. It is an insightful book for those in church leadership.
