God doesn't always answer our questions. At times our search for guidance is met with silence. When this happens, frustrated and confused believers wonder why God is ignoring them. It's not that God is ignoring our prayers, but sometimes we need to answer his questions before he answers ours. God's questions challenge us to think differently about what it means to live in the will of God and what it means to truly follow the God who is asking them.
EIGHT QUESTIONS CAN SHOW YOU HOW TO- make peace with unanswered questions;- live in God's will even when you don't understand what he's doing; and- understand how God's teaching style requires radical faith--and brings unbelievable peace.

And I will admit I often turn to a book rather than to the Bible. What I love about Paul's Gotthardt's book "Eight Questions" is that instead of giving answers or action steps, he asks questions that turn you to the Source and encourages the reader to seek the answers from God. To draw into a closer abiding relationship with God and learn to hear his voice. He asks questions that challenged my dependence on the people around me, a pastor, other author's wisdom and my own wisdom. I like the personal reflection/group discussion section at the end of each chapter and can see how the book would be great for a small group study or for a couple or family to study together. I also appreciated that he points the reader back to the Bible; the book includes the full Bible passages for many of the main points, but also provides other scripture references allowing you to dig deeper. I enjoyed getting to "know" Paul through his stories and anecdotes which clearly reveal that the lessons he shares in the book came through his personal struggles and journey with God.
