Easy Grammar is exactly what its title says-it's a grammar resource that's easy to teach and use. With only a few pages to do a day, students can learn without feeling overwhelmed. Everything needed is provided, from teacher suggestions and reproducible student pages to unit reviews and answer keys. If you don't want to make copies of all the student pages, there are separate workbooks and test books available.
In a step-by-step format, this program covers prepositions, parts of speech, usage, capitalization and punctuation, as well as how to write a sentence, a friendly letter, or e-mail.
A great add-on to your regular language arts program, this course will give students the tools needed for successful writing. It breaks each concept down into bite-sized pieces, so by the time they are up to Easy Grammar Plus (grade 7), they should have an understanding of all grammar concepts. And if you'd like to continue reviewing grammar through high school, you can do that with the Easy Grammar Ultimate series. Softcovers, from ISHA Enterprises.-Rebekah

katie5 Stars Out Of 5love itFebruary 25, 2017katieQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0We homeschool and did a mid-year switch from a more writing intensive english and grammar curriculum. My oldest has ADHD and Aspergers and appreciates the straight-forward approach and he also likes that there are no pictures to distract him. Even though he started it in January, he was able to catch up quickly to where he should have been if he had started this curriculum in September. It is easy to accomplish while covering all the essentials, and is not so labor intensive that he loses interest before the lesson is over.

I was having significant issues homeschooling 2 children, age 13 and 10, in grammar. This program fit the bill for them. It was lower than where they should have been age-wise but right where they needed to begin. I took the author's suggestions and tried to insert some "fun" things into the program and that also helped a lot. The main thing...the kids are learning grammar! That, after all, was the point of purchasing the product and it worked!!!
Heidi L5 Stars Out Of 5Love it!October 12, 2012Heidi LQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Two of my children are using this book, and so far, it's been wonderful. Lessons are short and to the point. Review is done after several lessons to check for mastery. My kids seem to enjoy the simplicity of this grammar curriculum.

My son also likes working through this as well. It seems to be very thorough. We started using the Easy Grammar series with our other kids as well.
Ask a Question▼▲
Q: Is there a teacher's manual to use with this? Does this program require a separate teacher's manual? I do not see one linked to this and just wondering what I all needed to buy.
There is no separate teacher's manual. The Easy Grammar 4 Text (981437) has the workbook pages included with the answers.
Q: On grade level? Does anyone know if this curriculum is on grade level? I will be homeschooling next year, my son is currently in 3rd in public school. Looking at the samples for Level 4, it seems to be work he has done this year. I don't want to purchase curriculum that is a repeat of what he already knows nor do I want to purchase curriculum that is to advanced.
This curriculum reviews the same concepts, with increasing complexity, each year. If your student has not been taught grammar using the prepositional method, it would be best to start with the book for his particular grade level.
