I had some problems with the way the author portrayed Christians with loose standards and if that sounds judgemental then so be it. I am not even going to argue for my stand on that. I disagreed with her interpretation of John 8:1-11 and I felt if she wanted to use scripture to make a point of something then she should have had Eric use it on himself/his own problems, rather than on Angelo's issue. That would have come off less arrogant/hypocritical/biased and more sympathetic/useful. While I enjoyed and applaud the author's writing skill, I am disappointed with her lukewarm brand of Christianity.

It captivated me right from the start. I think it's a great story for people who are going through a divorce to rethink their reasons for doing that in the first place.
Ruth4 Stars Out Of 5Needed just a little moreSeptember 29, 2014RuthThe one thing I noticed right away with this book is that it is written from a mans perspective by a woman. I wasnt sure if it was going to work out or not considering the topic of infidelity, but it did. Gina Holmes did a great job of writing this story.
Eric Yoshida fell in the love the first time he laid eyes on the woman who would later become his wife, Kyra. Their marriage was good for many years, but then outside interferences, such as work, got in the way. After a separation, Eric fell to flirting and a one night stand with a co-worker. When an accident leaves his wife with some memory loss, he sees this as an opportunity to start over. But life just isnt that simple. I wish the author had dug a little deeper into their struggles.

She remembers most things, but not that her husband had an affair and they were separated. Eric hopes to win back Kyra's heart before she remembers all the details of their marriage.
I found the book interesting, especially since it was written from the husband's point of view. It was a good story with a decent ending.
