The bridal shop business it took his mother three decades to build, the enterprise that covered his university and law degrees in full, was struggling because he might be part-genius when it came to contract law . . . But corset-style gowns with a mermaid flair? Shoot me now.
Tara Simonetti hated law school, but loved the community grant funding her presence at Temple University's esteemed school of law. She could not fail. Would not fail. But when a notice for bridal store help appeared on the community notice board, Tara applied for the job immediately. While grants and loans helped pave her way, money for food was scarce. Legal precedence, moot court, and judicial clerking all had their place, but they were nothing compared to Alcenon lace, tucked silk skirts, and a well-placed peplum.

Tara walks into Elenas Bridal and finds her dream joband a handsome man to match.
A third-year law student, Tara Simonetti just needs a job to pay the bills and put food on the table. After her fathers untimely death, shes determined to give her small hometown what he didnt have: a good, honest lawyer, but law school isnt cheap. When she answers a want ad that leads her to Elenas Bridal one blustery morning, she feels like shes died and gone to heaven. All of the organza, gowns, and pearls she could ever imagineher dream job, indeed.
To complicate matters, hotshot lawyer Greg Elizondo is working at the shop, trying to keep it afloat after his mothers passing. Hes kind and more handsome than Tara cares to admit, but his laser-focus on the corporate ladder makes him the wrong match for her.
As they work to save the shop from its impending closing, their feelings begin to grow. But with Tara bound for the valleys of northern Pennsylvania and Greg set on New York City, all of the outside circumstances scream "NO."
In the midst of juggling Bridezillas, wedding dress orders, and an upcoming gala for the shop, their attraction deepens, along with the reality that their goals are pulling them in two separate directions. No matter how Tara does the math, it doesnt add up. Can God orchestrate their desires and goals into one happy ending?

i blog 4 books4 Stars Out Of 5One of my favorites in this series!April 5, 2015i blog 4 booksQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Ruth Logan Herne knows how to tell a story! All Dressed Up in Love introduces readers to Greg, a lawyer and the new owner of his mother's bridal shop, and Tara, a law student looking for a part-time job until she finishes school. Thankfully, they just happen to be what the other one needs during a difficult time.
The story centers primarily around the happenings of the bridal shop. We get to read about brides coming in to find their perfect wedding dress, other characters who work at the shop, and plans to revitalize and save the shop. Of course, there are sparks between the two main characters, and a bit of romance and mixed feelings help propel that aspect of the story along. While the story did conclude a little abruptly, I was satisfied with the ending and enjoyed every minute spent with Greg and Tara in All Dressed Up in Love. This is definitely one of my favorites of this year's A Year of Weddings series so far! [4 stars]
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my fair and honest review.
KavRCanadaGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Inspirational read that hovers on magicalMarch 13, 2015KavRCanadaGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Herne knows how to pack an emotional wallop in novella length stories. Short and definitely sweet, but filled with conflict and angst and so much hope your heart will soar.
I just love Tara. A unique heroine in that she's completely comfortable in her own skin. She's outspoken and compassionate, fun-loving and so upbeat you can't help but fall in love with her from the get go. In comparison, Greg is intent on climbing the corporate ladder and is just discovering that his ambition has left a void in his life. Tara is good for him and if he let her she could tempt him away from some long-term goals. But he isn't going to let her. At least, he thinks he isn't. Watching Greg come alive in love and faith makes an inspirational read that hovers on magical.
