Would you like to help the children in your life make a deeper connection with God through the Bible? Professional actor and illustrator Sandy Silverthorne provides short and often humorous accounts that will grab kidsO attention and keep them engaged in some of the greatest stories of the Bible.
But more than that, this book shows young readers, ages 7 to 11, how to easily create their own illustrations. As they practice the simple, step-by-step instructions drawing various Bible characters, animals, and other objects, they will interact with each story, in a way that makes it personal and memorable.
Eva P. Scott4 Stars Out Of 5Not Detailed as I ExpectedApril 24, 2017Eva P. ScottQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 2This book is more like a Bible story book with simple line drawings to illustrate that particular story. It gives step-by-step illustrations of part of the scene that is shown. Then it tells you to draw the rest without saying how.
It includes a Bible story in each short chapter and teaches doctrine as well. So, if you are particular about that, you need to preview the book to see if it matches with what you believe the Bible teaches.
It wasn't quite what I was looking for. I wanted a book that was more about drawing the characters as I can get the other information from other places.
I stated I would not recommend the product to a friend, but it might be helpful if you are looking for something as I described.
It is written on what I would say is a 2nd- to 3rd-grade level if a child reads well. The stories would fit that age as well since it is not very detailed for older children.

This book is useful for Sunday school in helping with stories that lend themselves to illustration. Students and teachers will benefit from the clever suggestions that make drawing fun and less frustrating for those who have never thought of themselves as artistic.
This book would be good not only for use in church instruction, but also in Christian schools, and in home school settings that require multi-level instruction.
