A dragonkeeper of Paladin, Kale is summoned from The Hall to The Bogs by Wizard Fenworth to serve as his apprentice and tend his newly hatched meech Dragon, Regidor. But Kale isn't going alone. The Hall is sending a student to monitor her performance and report back to the scholars. Worst of all, it's Bardon--an older boy Kale finds irritating but who at least can hold his own in a sword fight.
New Friendships are forged
Meanwhile, the Wizard Risto has seized another meech dragon, brining him dangerously close to gaining the power he seeks. So with only a motley band of companions, Kale sets out on a desperate quest to rescue the second meech, to free those dragons already enslaved, and to thwart Risto's devious plans. It's up to Kale to lead the search and to embrace the role that's rightfully hers. But will her efforts be enough to save the land of Amara from the dark future that awaits at Risto's hands?

Praise for DRAGONQUEST
By Donita K. Paul
"Donita K. Pauls DragonQuest is a rich tapestry of creatures, characters, and adventure. A whimsical allegory, casting bright light on ultimate truth."
Lyn Cote, author of The Women of Ivy Manor series
"You never know what to expect in a magical world full of creatures like mordakleeps, blimmets, or doneels. But one thing is sure: This grand, fantastical odyssey of Kale the Dragonkeeper will sweep you off your feet."
Robert Elmer, author of the HyperLinkz fantasy series for kids
"Shut your eyes, hold your breath, and plunge into the unshackled imagination of Donita K. Paul! In DragonQuest, Kale s journey of self-discovery continues through a succession of adventures and mishaps that leaves you grinning with breathless, page-turning anticipation. I am in awe of Donita K. Pauls intricate world-building that can rightfully stand alongside master storytellers, Lewis and Tolkien. There is so much depth of heart to this fantastic adventure that its difficult to say what I most enjoyed. A fantasy must for the very young at heart, no matter your age."
Linda Wichman, author of Legend of the Emerald Rose
"Donita K. Pauls DragonQuest continues the story of Kale and her well-drawn compatriots, who set out on yet another quest in service to God by serving His people. Cleverly and compellingly wrought, DragonQuest is a terrific sequel to DragonSpell that is sure to delight readers of all ages."
Kathleen Morgan, author of Giver of Roses

Andrew5 Stars Out Of 5May 3, 2010AndrewDragonQuest was a great addition to the Dragon Keeper Chronicles. I really enjoyed the quest and several of the new characters, including Regidor, Bardon, Dibl, and Ardeo. The battle was very interesting at the end and was an improvement from the first book. The only thing that bugged me was that certain words kept being used (comrade and chortle). It always seemed like Kale's "comrades" were "chortling". Other than that, DragonQuest was a delightful book and I look forward to finishing DragonKnight.
CMR5 Stars Out Of 5February 10, 2010CMRTwice as good as the first! DragonQuest was wonderful. Probably my favorite in the series. Kale has finally made it to the Hall with Dar and is still at the lowest rank as a leecent. But that meech egg she saved from Risto has hatched and is getting on Fenworth's last nerves. He wants Kale to come help out since she was the one who quicken the dragon and therefore has bonded with it. She is sent to the Bogs and the adventures begin! But the adventures do not stay in the Bogs. They range from battlefields to rowdy taverns, full of suspense and great characters along the way. Several new and main characters are introduced in DragonQuest such as Regidor, Gilda, Bardon, and Toopka. But let's not leave out the mystery of two women both claiming to be Kale's mother, the hatching of two new minor dragons, and invasion of Creemore spiders. So join Kale and her comrades on another quest in the land of Amara!
Cherie Jones5 Stars Out Of 5January 21, 2010Cherie JonesI brought the firs bok for my teenage daughter and read it when I had no books of my own. I couldn't wait to get book two, which I finished last night and am now waiting on book 3 to arrive in the mail. Very well written, captivating and not just for children.
