The intense unrest and suffering around the globe have many people convinced that we are living in the last days. There are many theories about the return of Christ and the Great Tribulation, but what does Scripture tell us about these events? In Dont Miss The Rapture, Dr. Cynthia Wallace clarifiesand at times confrontssome controversial Rapture theories of the church, and weighs them against the totality of Scripture.
Dont Miss The Rapture offers a sense of clarity in order to unify and bless the body of Christ, and prepare us for the rapidly approaching eschatological events. Dr. Wallace provides Scripture-based critical analyses of dates and time frames, and explains the distinction between similar terms that are often used interchangeably, including the difference between the Rapture and the Second Coming. Dont Miss The Rapture will encourage each of us to continually keep an open mind and a seeking heart as the final day approaches, inspiring us to do everything we can to help bring lost souls to Jesus before it is too late.
She is a Spirit-filled Christian who has known the Lord since early childhood. An American, her home for over 20 years has been Geneva, Switzerland, where she moved in 1991 to assume a diplomatic post at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN/ECE). There she served as Senior Advisor to the Executive Secretary -- the highest position to be held by a woman or an American in the organization up to that time.
While at the UNECE, she helped to found an international church -- "Church for the Nations" -- in which she served as elder and intercessor, as well as being on the prayer team and music ministry team, at times leading the worship and occasionally bringing the message from the pulpit.
Since 2002 she has has reached out, in a more apostolic approach, to hold weekly 3-hour prophetic intercessory worship gatherings outside the four walls of her home church -- first in a 100-year-old church at the "gates" of Geneva, and later in a 700-year-old church in her own mountain village, from where one can look down over the Lake of Geneva, across to the Alps and the massive Mont Blanc, and all the way up the Lake to the majestic "jet d'eau" (sky-piercing fountain) in the heart of the city known as "the City of God", from the Reformation. These evenings of "Breakthrough Worship" emerged out of 5 prior years of monthly all-night intercession (9 pm to 6 am) that she first initiated in the international church that she helped to found.
By profession, Dr. Wallace is an international lawyer with a Ph.D. from Cambridge University and a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College. She has held various posts in academia (inter alia, Harvard, McGill, Georgetown, and Cambridge Universities) and in various international agencies of the United Nations (Vienna, Geneva, & New York).
Consulting, free-lance, and Washington DC 'think-tank' assignments (World Bank, CSIS, and various UN organizations) have taken her to all continents and corners of the globe. She speaks French and German, with 'smatterings' of additional languages.
Dr. Wallace has been awarded repeated legal research fellowships to both Max-Planck Institutes for public and for private international law in Heidelberg and in Hamburg, respectively. Her legal training and extensive professional research and writing experience have specially equipped her with a highly detail-oriented, thorough and systematic approach which she applies to scriptural as well as legal research. Built upon an already innately inquisitive, logical, and analytic mind, she feels blessed to be able to lend these particular characteristics and acquired skills to the writing of all her books -- whether legal or spiritual.
After reading your "Israel" book, I found myself searching the internet to see what else you had written, which is when I found your other book, Don't Miss the Rapture. I've been active in ministry since the early 1990s and words simply can't express my amazement at, and respect for, how God has used you to present such a clear understanding of the scriptures on a subject where such disunity amongst believers has reigned. Your book puts a whole new slant on what it means for believers to endure to the end. I agree with your position on the "Mid-Week"/Mid-Trib Rapture, based on my own understanding of the scriptures and also because it comports with a dream that the Lord gave me about the Rapture many years ago before I had even studied those portions of scripture.-- Bobbette A., Virginia Beach, VA, USA
I received "Don't Miss the Rapture" about 10 days ago. ...I was so eager to get into it so that I've read it since then almost every day with increasing zeal. Meanwhile I'm almost through for a first time and I'm simply struck - I'll have to read it again several times in order to assimilate it sufficiently. ...Your work shows so many facets of the things to come still in a holistic way which presumably only few believers are able to work out by themselves. To me it appears as a perfectly assembled puzzle out of a great many parts yet well perceivable. Still it's comprehensible how you assembled it out of the many cross-references in God's Word, following the principle God's Word does interpret God's word. ...I thank Our Lord that He has shadowed you by His Ghost in this abundant manner and I beg Him to bless you furthermore this way, thereby being a blessing to many.-- Harald H., Neustadt, Germany
Your rapture book continues to be a great blessing, especially as I have been doing Revelation as an end of year study. Your revelations have brought me much shalom on Father's purposes for His world and for me during these times. ...I realize that questions I have been asking Abba sotto voce He is now answering loud and clear in your book. Hallelujah.-- Marilyn K., London, UK
I just finished reading your book, Don't Miss the Rapture. I was amazed at the thoroughness of your study and presentation. As might be expected, there are a few interpretations that are new to me or that vary from what I've previously held to be true. So now I want to spend some time re-exploring the Scriptures.-- Sandy H., Brighton, Michigan, USA
The book: That you have been called and designed, no doubt, before the age of twelve, I dare say, to bring the message of this book Don't Miss the Rapture, unveils another large dimension in God's "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." (Jer 1:5). ...Yes! The Master Potter foreknew Cynthia, chose and designed her to write the book, which He has already written in heaven. Girl, you got the download! ...Cynthia, you were hand-made for this task...-- Charles K., Geneva, Switzerland
