To some, the concept of having faith in a higher power or a set of religious beliefs is nonsensical. Indeed, many view religion in general, and Christianity in particular, as unfounded and unreasonable.
Norman Geisler and Frank Turek argue, however, that Christianity is not only more reasonable than all other belief systems, but is indeed more rational than unbelief itself. With conviction and clear thinking, Geisler and Turek guide readers through some of the traditional, tested arguments for the existence of a creator God. They move into an examination of the source of morality and the reliability of the New Testament accounts concerning Jesus. The final section of the book deals with a detailed investigation of the claims of Christ. This volume will be an interesting read for those skeptical about Christianity, as well as a helpful resource for Christians seeking to articulate a more sophisticated defense of their faith.
NORMAN L. GEISLER (PhD, Jesuit Loyola University) is author or coauthor of some sixty books, including The Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics and his four-volume Systematic Theology. He has taught at the university and graduate level for nearly forty years and has spoken or debated in all fifty states and in twenty-five countries.
FRANK TUREK (PhD, Southern Evangelical Seminary) has appeared on numerous television and radio programs including The OReilly Factor, Hannity and Colmes, and Politically Incorrect. His first book, Legislating Morality: Is It Wise? Is It Legal? Is It Possible? (also coauthored with Dr. Geisler) won the Evangelical Christian Pulbishers Associations Gold Medallion award as the best book in its category.
Hudson Wolf5 Stars Out Of 5Must readJanuary 17, 2018Hudson WolfQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4Even if not everything he writes would pass as facts ( and some of it is really not how we should defend our faith) it is a great work in summary and definitly a book you should hand to every child before they go to college. No need to be ashamed to be a Christian... its the atheists that got it wrong and Geissler brings that to a point.
Teutonic Warrior5 Stars Out Of 5Amazing!!!August 26, 2017Teutonic WarriorQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Everyone on the planet (Christians and Non-Christians) ought to read "I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist". Starting with the very notion of truth, and moving through various lines of evidence for God, miracles, the New Testament, the resurrection, and the Bible, Geisler and Turek have written a masterful work. This is, in my opinion, the best book of general Christian apologetics in existence today. To be clear there are better books for each individual topic, but I've never seen a book building the entire case for Christianity from the ground up quite like this. Excellent! Five stars easy. Buy it for your skeptical friends, family, and co-workers. If it doesn't convince them, probably nothing will.
